This music helps me become acquainted with mariachi music, and some of the best songs. I'm eager to help start a mariachi youth group here in the Hayward schools and want to learn all I can about mariachi music in order to be able to teach it to my elementary students. Thank you very much for the free sheet music. I am a mexican who lives in New England and plays the mexican harp and I am composing my own original music. My cd soon will be release. Also I play the guitar, guitarrón and violin. Now I am assembling my own mariachi with the idea of creating original tunes, but also I like to play the traditional mariachi tunes. For those of you having trouble finding the music it is under the LIBRARY section, click the link above under the Mariachi Oro banner.

If you click in (for example) V1 to get the fist violing part and the song does not automatically come up, right click and save to your hard drive. These are .pdf files so you'll need Acrobat view to view or print.

Feb 22nd, 2004 is the date for the Radio Bilingue Mariachi festival in Fresno. Any chance you will show? A friend of mine over at the Hispanic Chamber said they may still be looking for performers. My 11 year old will be taking the workshop on Sat. 21st at CSUF.

OH MY GOSH....This is what I have searched for everywhere....and here you are...our of nowhere....GRACIAS DIOS, Y MARIACHI ORO... I have an 11 year old son who has been playing trumpet for 2 years...and he wants to get into the mariachi music, but school band does not teach it obiviously. Sheet music is expensive. Your site is a blessing to us. I am sure many share that feeling once they have seen the music you have. Is there anyone available for private instruction for my son? I am willing to travel to the Bay ( I am in Merced..2 hrs or so away) if this is possible. There is no one close enough to help us. You are unlike most mariachi groups which I have met. Most mariachi musicians with whom I have come in contact tend to be selfish with music they know; so even if they could transcribe music, we would have no chance of learning from it because, to them, staying above in competition is more important. I downloaded 2 songs (Jesusita & Zacatecas) and put together a group to play at church during a Pentacost service. We used a stand up bass, but other than that, played as written. The congregation loved it!!. Old stuffy Lutherans actually got up and danced during the closing. Thank you for providing the library. (I am told the Mexican restaurants got a lot of business after the second service yesterday.)

If you need help on transcribing guitarron parts or if you need a guitarron part to a particular recording, feel free to drop me an e-mail and I'll see if I have it already.
